They will learn the process of studying: Effective use of a Daily Planner; Taking Notes based on their Learning Style; Memorization Techniques; Research Techniques; and Prepping for Tests … and…do all of this while being very efficient with their time. This course provides focused, practical executive functioning and life skill lessons with proven results with over 1,000 students.
The program consists of an initial consultation and 4 independent modules.
First, a consultation is scheduled with parent and student to determine and understand where the students academic grades currently are as well as reviewing academic history, current study habits, study environment, attitude towards school, extracurricular activities, and academic goals for this school year and beyond. We will also determine the student’s dominant learning style to help them understand more about themselves and how to study and succeed within their unique style.
Designed for 7th - 12th Graders
Students will work with a Study Skills tutor and learn the process of studying smarter, effective use of a daily planner, note taking based on their learning style, research strategies, test preparation and effective reading and writing techniques.
The four modules will include:
Organizational Skills and Time Management
Effective Note Taking and Research Strategies
Preparing for and Taking Tests
Effective Reading and Writing Skills
$360 | 4 sessions + consultation
After registration we will contact you within 1 business day to set up the initial consultation and get your four sessions scheduled. We will create a custom schedule based on your student’s availability to allow maximum flexibility. We recommend coming twice a week for two weeks but can accommodate other schedules.
