National/Arizona Grade Level Assessment

This consists of a computerized K-12 online basic math skills assessment which provides information that will accelerate math remediation for students who are either at risk of or are performing below grade level. There is also a reading assessment that measures eight sub-skills of reading for grades K-12 and adapts to each learner’s ability in real-time. The outcome shows a student’s individualized reading profile by examining multiple reading and grammar abilities.

SAT / PSAT Diagnostic

For upper level high school students preparing for college, this diagnostic is an actual test from the test designer CollegeBoard. It will pinpoint the areas where a student needs to focus down to the type and difficulty of the individual question.

ACT Diagnostic

The ACT diagnostic covers the same areas on the actual ACT: English, Math, Science, Reading and an optional essay. It is an actual version of the test and can pinpoint the areas in which the student struggles. A detailed explanation of weaknesses will be provided. When using this diagnostic test along with a PSAT, a student can help determine whether they might perform better on the ACT or SAT and focus studying efforts accordingly.

Study Skills & Style Assessment

The Study Skills assessment makes a critical link between the student’s individual learning style and most effective way for them to study by breaking down what they know and how they study into 10 different categories. In addition, a multi-sensory test will be given categorizing the student into learning styles using Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences.

AIMS Diagnostic Test

This assessment pinpoints specific areas and concepts for improvement, as well as developing a focused plan for level enhancement. Combined with the Buckle Down Series we have been highly successful in not only helping student “meet” on the AIMS exam, but have worked with many students to “exceed” standards.
